Whew! It's been a whirlwind this year. We've done numerous parades and events. both as O'Bannon's DunRovin' Ranch SHIRES and with our friends as the Feathered Friends Horse Society. From the Kansas Equifest in Wichita, Lee's Summit, MO Emerald Isle St. Patty's Day parade, the Nevada, MO 4th of July parade, the Clinton, MO Old Glory Days parade, the Urich, MO reunion parade, the Cass County parade in Pleasant Hill, MO and more - five of our Shires have been fantastic at their appearances. Moon, Apollo, Lily, Sunrise, and young Webber are now going to have a well-deserved rest until it cools down.
Possible future appearances include the Neewollah Parade in Independence, Kansas the last Saturday in October and several Christmas parades and lighted Christmas parades (fun stuff)!
Thanks to our intern Amanda, our Spotteds are getting ready to do some performances of their own. We are hoping next season to have our N. A. Spotted Drafts Laddie and April join veteran Iris and her sister Lacey in making some parade appearances.
Thank you's go out to all of you who have come out to support ODR Shires and Spotted Drafts and special thanks to those who have helped at the parades so far. Keep checking for more events to come!
